The mobile phone provider has a daily terminable contract with Funk, where a data flat rate (telephone and SMS flat rate included) costs 99 cents per day. This is the equivalent of 29.70 euros per month or 30.69 euros for months with 31 days. The same network is used as with O2. However, the tariff can only be booked online. In a European comparison, many other countries are way ahead – three countries in particular do well. There are renewed demands from politics.
Germany is lagging behind in terms of mobile coverage: Germany is in a bad position when it comes to 4G (LTE) coverage compared to other European countries, as a study by the Aachen-based consulting firm P3 on behalf of the Green parliamentary group shows. According to this, the German networks have some catching up to do in terms of coverage and the data rates achieved – countries such as Poland and Albania, on the other hand, do better.
Even the best network in Germany is "Far behind in international comparison"According to the study that was available to AFP on Thursday and that the newspapers of the Funke media group initially reported on. While in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland accordingly "almost all network operators have an LTE share of more than 90 percent" offer, the Telekom comes in Germany "just to an LTE share of 75 percent". Vodafone is already with a share of 57 percent "clearly beaten". Telefónica’s fast network is in place "not even available for half of the analyzed data sets".
Telekom ahead of Vodafone and Telefónica
In Poland and Albania, on the other hand, Deutsche Telekom customers have better network coverage with 80 percent each. T-Mobile customers in Austria (84 percent) and the Netherlands (90 percent) have it even better. According to the study, LTE reception is generally very good in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland.
In terms of the data rate, the average speed at which data can be loaded onto the phone is 4.9 megabits per second (Mbit / s) in the German telecommunications network. Vodafone and Telefónica are behind with 4.8 and 4.1 Mbit / s.
According to the study, customers of Telekom and Vodafone in Albania surf on average with 9.4 and 8.7 Mbit / s, around twice as fast. Especially in Switzerland, but also in Denmark and the Netherlands, you can travel faster with LTE than in Germany.
Green parliamentary group vice: Germany "At the bottom of Europe"
The figures are based on data that were automatically recorded with the help of an application on Android smartphones from July to September and then centrally processed anonymously. According to the authors of the study, this application was installed on around 190 million devices worldwide at the time the data was collected and provided around 1.5 trillion data sets per day.
The distribution in Germany shows that these data sets mainly come from metropolitan areas. In rural regions – for example in Brandenburg or Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania – there are still areas without sufficient data.
Mobile network expansion: Bavaria starts 5G funding program: State Secretary criticizes rules
Germany is in mobile communications "At the bottom of Europe", criticized Greens parliamentary group vice-president Oliver Krischer. The spokeswoman for the Greens parliamentary group for digital infrastructure, Margit Stumpp, demanded "an acceleration of the expansion of a close-knit fiber optic network and, in parallel, the expansion of 5G". One is necessary "clearer obligation for national roaming in poorly served areas".
So-called roaming is the crux of the new 5G mobile communications standard, which is intended to gradually replace the previous LTE technology. According to the study authors, this can roaming "a building block" for the faster expansion of 5G networks. However, the mobile phone companies are defending themselves against strict requirements. The Federal Network Agency’s terms and conditions only stipulate that the providers must negotiate cooperation. Roaming means that customers of a provider are automatically redirected to the networks of competitors in dead zones.

With download speeds of one gigabit per second, entire HD films can be downloaded within seconds. Customers of O2 have so far been denied such an offer. But that will soon change.
The cable network operator Tele Columbus ("Pÿur") opens its fiber optic network for the telecommunications provider Telefónica Deutschland (O2). Tele Columbus announced on Wednesday that the board had signed an agreement on a long-term wholesale cooperation. The cooperation includes around 2.3 million connected households in Germany.https://123helpme.me/argumentative-essay/
Telefónica expects faster Internet for customers through this cooperation. According to a press release by the company, data speeds of up to 1 Gbit / s should be possible thanks to the agreement. A 4 gigabyte film in HD can be downloaded in just over half a minute.

Telefonica does not name prices for the tariff. Providers like Telekom also offer offers with download speeds of up to 1 Gbit / s. The MagentaZuhause GIGA tariff currently costs around 120 euros per month. The offer also includes Magenta TV. Vodafone charges around 70 euros per month for 1 Gbit / s.

On Monday evening, a fire caught the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. The emergency services managed to extinguish the fire on Tuesday morning. But parts of the cathedral have been destroyed, including the roof, parts of the interior and the iconic spire.

According to experts, the Paris landmark can be rebuilt. That’s what the builder of the Freiburg Minster, Yvonne Faller, said in an interview with t-online.de. However, the Cologne cathedral builder Peter Füssenich suspects that the construction could take decades.
It is still unclear when visitors will be allowed into the cathedral again. Before the fire came around 12 million a year. But Notre-Dame can still be visited in virtual space, in the game "Assassin’s Creed Unity" from the game company Ubisoft. In the game from 2014, the building was virtually recreated in great detail.
The replica took two years
Players take over in "Assassin’s Creed Unity" the role of an assassin, a secret organization of assassins. Players can move freely in the virtual world, the Notre-Dame serves as the central point of contact. Players can climb the landmark or enter the building and explore it. Notre-Dame is in many ways the same as the real world model. For example, the famous rose window, the large round stained glass window, can be seen.
Players can also climb onto the now destroyed spire. "Assassin’s Creed Unity" takes place during the time of the French Revolution (1789 to 1799), the tower did not exist in this form at that time. The version known today was not created until the 19th century. In order to increase the recognition value for players, Ubisoft has adapted the digital replica of the cathedral for the game.
The digitization took two years
The digitization of the entire cathedral took almost two years. Caroline Miousse, Senior Level Artist at Ubisoft, explained this in a blog post from 2014. Miousse spent almost 80 percent of her working time working on the digital replica of the Notre-Dame, the developer said in an interview with "The Verge".
For the reconstruction, Miousse relied primarily on floor plans, information from historians and "Tons of books as well as google" leave. And: "I’ve also talked to people who have visited the cathedral"says Miousse on the Ubisoft blog. "So I can know how it should feel."
First details published: The Playstation 5 should be able to do that Notre-Dame: These works of art were saved from the inferno. 28 euros an hour: Julian Miculcy gives tutoring in gaming. Gamers’ favorites: PC games that are fun
However, Miousse had to forego some details in the replica or build differently than the real model. For example, the organ looks in "Assassin’s Creed Unity" different from the organ in the real Notre-Dame. The reason: Some parts of the cathedral are protected by copyright. This also applies in the virtual world.
